Our History

1977

The building dates back to 1977, when it was built by Wolverhampton firm AM Griffiths & Sons as the new ‘Staffordshire House’ headquarters for the Staffordshire Building Society.

2008

Upon acquisition, Carilion further invested in £5 million in refurbishment, post which it became their headquarters in 2015.

2020

Lloyd James Media Group take over, acquiring 
the full 6 floors. The building will also feed in 
to the £55m regeneration of the neighbouring 
Westside area of the city. The leisure-led £55m 
development will deliver a multiplex cinema, 
leisure space, new restaurants, a 100-plus bed 
hotel and a multi-storey car park. 

2025

Good Health Medical Centre & Diagnostics is set to open in 2025.

The Location

The building benefits from frontage onto the Ring Road St. Mark’s (A4150) at its junction with Salop Street, on the fringe of both the city’s professional quarter and main retail/leisure district.

Birmingham Airport is approximately 20 miles south east of Wolverhampton and the East Midlands airport is approximately 40 miles northeast. Wolverhampton has a mainline rail station with frequent service to London Euston via Birmingham, Birmingham International, and Coventry. The City also has a direct metro link to Birmingham City Centre and benefits from a regular bus service.
